Mark your calendars! Our 4th Annual Friends Gala is scheduled for Friday, September 27, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the incredible Blacklick Woods Canopy Walk.
This year’s fundraiser will help us raise funds for the Inclusive Playground being installed at Blendon Woods. Join us for a night of nature, networking, and fun, complete with refreshments, drinks, live music, and a raffle with exciting prizes.
Whether you’re a long-time supporter or new to the Friends of Metro Parks community, we’d love to see you there.

• Regular Tickets: Available starting September 1st.

Blendon Woodstock: Disc Golf Event
Welcome to Blendon Woodstock: presented by Friends of Metro Parks and The Olentangy Disc Club
This exciting event features a Disc Golf Tournament at Blendon Woods, one of Metro Parks’ three disc golf courses.
Following the tournament, join us for a festival filled with music, beer, food trucks, disc golf games, local disc golf vendors, instructional classes, and more.
This event will be a fantastic opportunity to help raise money for course improvements and to introduce more people to the joys of disc golf while promoting the beauty and accessibility of our parks.

Disc Golf Tournament: Players will compete in a thrilling tournament, showcasing their skills across the scenic Blendon Woods course.

Friends Only : Photography Hike
Join Photographer and Seasonal Naturalist, Leah Conway, to learn the ins and outs of your camera inside the Nature Center classroom before hitting the trail for a 1-mile hike to photograph birds, butterflies and blooms.
Recommended things to bring - camera (program geared toward using a DSLR camera but other cameras, including phones are welcome), sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle

Happy Hour Hike at Nocterra Audubon
It's Happy Hour!
Pop over to Nocterra's new location at Scioto Audubon Metro Park at 516 Maier Place on July 31st for a special Happy Hour for our Friends of Metro Parks Members!
Join us at 5:30 pm for a group hike through the wetlands at Scioto Audubon Metro Park, and then join us at 6:00 pm at Nocterra for drinks, coffee, food, and hanging out with the Freinds of Metro Parks.
Every "Take a Hike" beer purchased in July helps out the Friends of Metro Parks! A portion of the proceeds goes to us so that we can help support the Metro Parks! Special thanks to our amazing partners Nocterra Brewing and Public Lands.

Bank Run Sneak Peek
Join us on Black Friday for our #OptOutside sneak peek at the newest Metro Park, Bank Run. Formerly the Hoover YMCA, Bank Run is setting up to be a park that is specific for larger events! There is a large lodge that will be available and some future developments with a quarry that you will have to attend the hike to learn about! Join us refreshments and a behind the scenes look at the newest park!
RSVP early! These hikes generally fill up pretty quickly. There are no restrooms on site, so please plan accordingly! Wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for some mud depending on the weather. This is a hike for members only, so make sure your membership is up to date!
